Awaken your feet after winter
Winter is tough on feet – cold weather, closed shoes, dry indoor air. The result is dry skin, hard heels and an overall tired look. Spring is the ideal time for a restart.
6 steps for a spring foot restart
- Deep bath – Soak feet for 20 minutes in warm water with sea salt and essential oils (lavender, mint).
- Scrub – Use a sugar or coffee grounds scrub to remove dead cells.
- Remove hard skin – Gently file off hard layers from heels and soles.
- Moisturizing mask – Apply a rich layer of shea butter cream, put on socks and leave overnight.
- Nail care – Trim, file and apply a fresh spring color (pastels, coral, mint).
- Regular maintenance – Repeat baths and scrubs 2× a week for the rest of spring.
What shoes to wear in spring
Switch to more breathable footwear – trainers, ballerinas, light platform shoes. Let your feet breathe. Also start walking barefoot on grass or sand more often, which naturally strengthens foot muscles.
